I work in an office from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. It's a very pretty office. There's plenty of natural light, nice granite counters, a subtle gray color on the walls, even a nice big window right in front of my desk with a view of trees and hills and blue skies. I have to say, though, nothing quite compares to really breathing fresh air and being close enough to green, living plants that you could reach out and touch the leaves if you wanted to.
That's what I find at the coffee shop down the street. It's close enough for me to walk to during my lunch break and sit for a while. They always have the windows propped open, there's not a single curtain hanging to cover any of them up, and there are plants inside and out. I get to sip on my black-mint iced tea and enjoy the breeze. It really is an oasis.
I've had the pleasure of "babysitting" a camera lens for the last few days (thanks to Rachel) and I haven't been able to put it down. So, of course, I had it with me today at the little cafe and froze a couple pieces of this place. It's too cozy to keep to myself, I've just got to share.
The first two pictures are of the windows I just can't get enough of. Kinda interesting what a little perspective change will do..
I'm starting to realize green might be my favorite color..
One of the art pieces hanging from the ceiling.. makes me think of a boat.
A precious little piano begging to be played. Why didn't I stick with piano lessons when I was younger?
Wow Jena Im impressed. You are making real good progress. What lens are you "babysitting"? Is that Sally Loo's?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your "Oasis". I can feel it through your pictures. It makes me feel good that you have a place like this in your life! Love you!
