..with Paige's room!
The crib.
I'm still shopping around for a plain white crib skirt and bumper.
I'm also thinking about adding another white pom pom up top to balance it out a little better.
Or possibly just cluster them all closer together?
Advice is much appreciated.
The changing table/dresser.
This used to be my dresser and I had painted it off-white and distressed it.
I'm going to re-paint it a bright white to match the rest of the nursery furniture.
I also have a matching oval mirror to hang above it.
And, yes, those drawers are full of adorable, freshly washed girly clothes!
Remember that little blue nightstand I sold on craigslist then bought it back from craigslist one year later?
Here's the little guy with a whole new paint job.
Doesn't it look like sunshine?
It's sitting in front of the window with the sheer white curtains.
And, yes, these drawers are also full of teeny tiny clothes.
Next to the sunny nightstand is soon-to-be home of a rocking chair.
When my parents come over (as soon as Paige decides to make her appearance), they're bringing the little brown lazy-boy recliner that my grandma bought for my mom when she was pregnant with me.
I've had my eye on this chair since I got pregnant, and I can't wait to rock my sweet little girl to sleep in it.
Just to the left of the bookshelf is where my book slings are going to hang on the wall.
They may or may not be done sometime next week.
They require some hardware that I haven't found yet, and a little bit of sewing.
Oh, and do you see that cute piggy? It's a lamp.
And the majority of those blankets are handmade by family and friends.
:)
I walk into this room as often as I can.
I just stand and stare, trying to imagine what it's going to look and feel and smell like with our baby girl in it.
It's peaceful and fun and refreshing and sweet, just like I think she will be.
I love it! Very cute!
ReplyDeleteSo cute Jenna!
ReplyDeleteI did see the video of your gender reveal and loved it... I have thought about something similar but haven't really been able to come up with someone to help with the cake part. So we'll see what I can come up with in the next month or so :)
