It's been 18 days since I last updated you all on this silly little life of mine.
I'm so sorry! Where are my manners?
Probably hiding next to my brain,
giggling under the table
while I go searching high and low
tearing the house apart
trying to find..
wait, what was I looking for?
Anyway, it must not be that important if I can't remember, right?
I'll give you something worth remembering though!
Little baby Paige is THREE MONTHS OLD!
Yesterday was her 3 month birthday.
We drove into town and visited with dad during his lunch break,
then sat and talked at a coffee shop with a friend.
Paige smiled and talked the whole time,
totally wore herself out and fell asleep as soon as she was in the car.
Yep. SHOES.
They're too big, but I make her wear them anyway.
She's going to grow out of them before I can say hippopotamus,
They're too big, but I make her wear them anyway.
She's going to grow out of them before I can say hippopotamus,
so why not enjoy them before they're packed away
in a box of too-small clothes?
(that I'll be saving for Paige's maybe-someday-baby-sister)
I've decided that shoes and jeans and a head full of hair
make Paige look a lot older than she really is.
I don't know if that's good or bad,
but she looks pretty darn cute in all three.
Acting shy is the new game she likes to play.
She started with my husband Matt.
If I'm holding her over my shoulder,
she'll look at Matt until he notices her,
smile at him,
then bury her face in my neck,
look back up to see if he's still there,
and the cycle continues until she's tired or bored.
She's got the sweetest little grin I've ever seen.
She showed off her precious smile while her grandparents were in town.

Matt's parents came to visit last weekend,
and mine came over the weekend before.
My parents sent us off to a nice dinner, just the two of us,
while they stayed home and giggled with Paige.
Why?
To celebrate our three year anniversary!
Three whole years since we said "I do."
I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.
It was the first time I had left the house without her,
other than one quick trip to the grocery store while Matt was home,
and I wasn't sure how I'd handle it.
I wouldn't have thought twice about it,
but considering the way I reacted to Paige's shots..
Well, you never can tell these days what's going to set me off!
But guess what?
I did just fine!
Matt and I ate at Gina's, a quaint little Italian restaurant in
the Arroyo Grande Village.
He had an amazing fish dinner, and I gobbled up an entire plate
of homemade crab and shrimp ravioli.
My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
For dessert he got a canoli
(oh my gosh, so good)
and I got creme brulee.
The waitress torched it at the table,
so exciting!
After dinner, we drove down to the movie theater,
just to stand in line and decide nothing looked
good enough to watch on the big screen,
so we headed back home to enjoy some more time
with Paige and my parents.
I'm so blessed to have parents and in-laws
that both Matt and I love spending time with.
Paige and my mom.
My dad was just outside the picture making her smile.
She loves her grandma and grandpa!
A three month old baby,
and a three year old marriage.
Don't they say good things come in threes?
I don't know who "they" are,
but as far as I can tell,
they're right.
She is a little beauty! Happy 3 months and 3 years!
