Ok, seriously. Look at those yummy elbow dimples!

The camera you see in these pictures are from my Grandpa. He gave it to me, along with some fabulous lenses, when I was in high school. It had been all over the world with him, and now it was my turn to get to know it. I loved it through my first photography class in high school, and another one in college (a class I took with a cute boy, who is now my husband.. but that's another story for another time). It was such an exciting surprise every time the film was developed (yes, FILM!). There is no screen on the back to check the photo and save or delete, there is no cord to connect it to my laptop, it doesn't have an auto-focus button or a pop-up flash, there is no fake shutter sound.. it's the real deal. And thanks to my grandpa and his camera, I've been a lover of photography ever since.

I would love to have a story behind every letter of Paige's Alphabet Book, but to be honest, there's nothing extra special between me and apples (although I'm awfully picky about what kind I eat, but again, another story for another time).. and I've never been one to read books all the time.. but apples and books are good for you, and I want Paige to know that.

I think cameras are good for you, too.

At least, I know they've been good for me.
