Finally!

I made a few changes here and there, and after more than 5 months,
the nursery is dangerously close to being completely DONE!

Procrastination might be my second middle name..
Just ask my mom.
Or my husband.
Or my high school English teacher.

Anyway..

Here are the embroidery hoop frames I made a couple weeks ago.
I've caught Paige staring up at them during nap-time. I think she likes them.
I would like them hanging over my crib, er... bed, too.
About the crib: it was a baby shower gift from a group of family and friends,
the bumper was a gift from my grandma,
the sheet is part of a set from Target,
and the eyelet skirt was made by Matt's grandma.

I took down the tissue paper pom-poms from above the crib, did away with the yellow ones, and clustered two pinks and a white one together above the rocking chair. I made the yellow pom-poms in order to make the room a little less girly-girl. I grew up a bit tomboyish, so the thought of having a baby girl with pink EVERYWHERE kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

In the past 5 months I've gotten over that, and I'm totally welcoming the color pink into my life.
So, out with the yellow pom-poms!

The letters hanging on the wall are from The Land of Nod,
they were a gift from my mom before Paige was born.

Here's a cute little face in a frame that is now hanging on the wall next to her closet.

All I have left to do is finish painting her oval mirror and hang it up above her changing table.
Then I can move on to MY room! I have lots of furniture to paint..
